… and Peculiarities
Our Old DVHH website had picked up some oddities over time. Here are some we should know about and take into account as we update our new site.
Duplication in Banat Villages list
When using the L link (or scrolling down past the Ks) there are just three entries for villages starting with the letter L and then the entire list of Ks is repeated. After that repetition there is a complete list of the L villages.
“Asterisk” Link
For many villages shown on the old site Banat Villages page there is a line about the village church, often followed by a photo. The line ends with an asterisk the is a link to a page with a listing of the churches in the Banat.
Please be very careful when copying and pasting the text to be sure that this link is retained. We will update those entries and make the link more apparent at a later date.
Banat Regions
On the old DVHH Banat website there is a peculiarity in the links on the Villages listing page, and elsewhere, to the various regions of the Banat. Those links go to pages for the regions of the Banat with one exception. The Vojvodina link goes to a page explaining that area with contained some regions of the Banat. Those regions, “S. Banat”, “N. Banat”, and “Central Serbia” have separate pages. See the arrows in the illustration below.
That structure has been retained on the new website for the Banat in similarly placed links on several pages.
Links on the old website Banat Villages listing page go the separate Vojvodina region pages. We have retained that structure on the new site.
Banat Menu
The Banat site has menus on the various pages that are similar but link to different pages.
On the main page (illustrated above) the menu items go to links as follows:
